Battlefield Medicine: Helping Civilian Practices
A new study has found that many of the medical and trauma care advancements that have come from battlefield medicine have been widely incorporated and adapted by civilian hospitals. This is not surprising news, given the huge advancements in trauma care medicine made by the military. Many of these advancements have been driven by “innovations on the battlefield.” This research is instrumental in helping not only soldiers but civilians as well and a large portion of these procedures were developed with the help of animal research.
